Chapter 7

Tone and the crew suited up to go take care of Molly and Garry. They had been loyal to the organization, but once you messed up that was it. When it was brought to Atticus’ attention that Karun was still alive, it was a done deal for them. No one was given a second chance not even Atticus. He was the head of the organization here, but his boss Bobby Valentine checked in on the day-to-day operations to make sure all was running smoothly.

Tone was still pissed with Atticus about how he handled him and the situation with Tyshae. Tone wasn’t going to sweat it, but he prayed that Atticus knew what time it was. They were basically raised as brothers when Atticus mom took Tone into their home. But there was a level of respect that they each needed to have for one another. If not, things could get ugly, and a brothership and friendship could get deadly.

Pulling the 1998 Crown Victoria that they were driving up to the curb, Tone was ready to get this over with. He had formed a bond with Garry, and they were as close as him and Atticus was. This would be a test of Tone’s street credibility and also his loyalty. Business always overshadowed personal; there was nothing that could be done about that.
